FAQ

CAN I PRINT MY DIGITALS?

Photos are delivered with a small watermark. Upon request, a watermark can be switched out for a signature on fine art images. Prints, wall arts, and products can be ordered through my gallery site, ensuring proper color and quality, and are delivered without the watermark. We partner with several incredible photo labs to bring you the best possible products!

HOW DO I BOOK AND PAY?

In order to book, reach out to us via email at info.liasimphotography@gmail.com. After we discuss your dream session, your session fee is due. We accept cash, check, Venmo, PayPal, or Zelle. Venmo charges a Purchase Protection fee of 2%, and PayPal requires 3%, which will be covered by the client if you opt to use one of these platforms.

HOW SHOULD I PREPARE?

Preparation is completely up to the client, but there are some recommendations we'd like to offer for the most satisfactory final product! Your horse should be as clean as possible. A clipped horse makes for the best, most crisp images. Braiding is highly suggested for show horses. Hoof oil is recommended. Leather halters or leather bridles are HIGHLY recommended if using tack and should be cleaned (including the bit) and oiled. A plain snaffle bit tends to look the best, but whatever you have or would like to use is absolutely acceptable. Remember that editing cannot make a fuzzy, dirty horse sleek and clean.

WHERE SHOULD WE SHOOT?

A clean, swept barn aisle is ideal for black backgrounds, but not to fear if you don't have one! Fine art portraits can also be done in run-in sheds, indoor arenas, or in front of walls if necessary.

WHAT TIME SHOULD I BOOK?

Assuming you have a covered area such as a barn aisle, indoor, or run-in, time of day doesn't affect black backgrounds as much! Though make a note of which way your aisle/shed/etc faces- shooting in direct sunlight creates harsher contrast and is not recommended.

ARE DISCOUNTS AVAILABLE?

Most certainly! The best way to acquire a discount is to book multiple shoots or by referring friends who book with me. The more people booking, the bigger the discount!

WHEN WILL I RECEIVE MY PHOTOS?

Turnaround time is dependent on each individual shoot and the client’s needs. On average, expect to see your photos in about 3-4 weeks!

WHAT OTHER FEES SHOULD I EXPECT?

We provide complete transparency on any fees you may acquire. One is the aforementioned transaction fees for certain payment platforms. Certain locations (over 40 miles from Baltimore, MD) require a travel fee of $0.50/mile. That’s it!
